Tuition fees

Foreign citizens of Bulgarian nationality, citizens of the EU member countries or of a country, party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (EEA) and of the Swiss Confederation can apply for training subsidized by the state and/ or for paid form. All other foreign applicants apply to study under Art. 95, Para 8 of the Higher Education Act and pay tuition fees which, for the state high academic institutions, are determined annually by the Council of Ministers in euro/ the equivalent in levs according to exchange rate 1,95583/. Annual tuition fees for places subsidized by the country and for foreign students for the academic 2017/ 2018 year will be published at the beginning of July.

Students pay the annual tuition fee in two equal halves at the beginning of each semester, first payment is required upon the registration.
People with dual citizenship, one being Bulgarian, pay half the tuition fee set for foreign students on application and are admitted following the regulations applicable to foreign citizens.
