Annotation
The interdisciplinary MA in Politics and Policies of the European Union is designed for an international student body, bringing together participants from EU and non-EU countries interested in European integration and the public policies through which it is realised.
The programme offers an in-depth political and policy-oriented understanding of the European Union as a system of governance, regulation and transformation.
Combining core courses on European integration, EU institutions and decision-making with advanced modules on enlargement, rule of law, economic governance and key EU policies, the programme develops students’ ability to critically analyse EU policy processes and their broader political and societal implications. Particular emphasis is placed on EU enlargement and the specific dynamics of Central and Eastern Europe, positioning the programme within one of the EU’s most strategic and evolving policy areas.
Bridging theory and practice, the programme draws on empirical research and practitioner perspectives to connect academic knowledge with the realities of EU policy-making, preparing graduates for careers in EU institutions, public administration, research and policy analysis, as well as for further academic development.

Faculty Members
The programme is taught by experienced academics and practitioners with expertise in European Union politics, European integration and public policy. Teaching is informed by both academic research and practical experience in EU institutions and policy-making processes, and includes the participation of international teaching staff.
Duration of Studies
The programme has a duration of three semesters: two semesters of coursework followed by a third semester dedicated to the preparation and defence of the MA thesis.

The programme is open to applicants holding a BA degree in the social sciences (including political and administrative sciences), as well as in economics, law, and the humanities.
